WHO: Spider/Devil-family and friends!
WHERE: Mini-golf course!
WHEN: Forward dated to Thursday for convenience.
SUMMARY: It's Peter's birthday! Time for mini-golfing adventures.
FORMAT: Whatever!
NOTE: This is a party for Peter Parker, not spider-man. If you have a reason to be there, come along! If you have a question as to whether you should or not, feel free to ask.

May didn't know what it was about her respective transdimentional relatives, but birthdays never seemed to be much on anyone's mind (not that the girl who had missed her own 16th birthday party could talk...). So it once more fell to her to organize. Luckily, Peter was a little more adventurous than the Devil's, who had needed to practically be drugged and beaten to acknowledge their birthdays, so an actual party outside the apartment could be held. The mini-golf had been a bit of a late night inspiration, but she was satisfied with the end result. Now it was just a matter of everyone getting through the game with no property damage.

[Peter probably would have talked May out of celebrating, but with Gwen's arrival a game of mini-golf seems like the perfect, low-key way to introduce her around the rest of the (increasingly sprawling) Spider-Devil clan. Now he hangs around the entrance to the course, waiting to see who shows up.]

[After Hank had rather awkwardly and absent-mindedly forgotten his own birthday, celebrating someone else's seemed like the best way to correct the situation. And so, he smothered Peter's hands in his own as he greeted him.]

Happy birthday, Peter! I'm glad you decided to have me.

Oh, Hank, hey!

[Submitting to the excessive handshaking good-naturedly.]

Thanks for coming, man! It's just, you know ...

[Awkward shrug. Yes, he is a little too old for birthday celebrations, but.]

It seemed like a good time for mini-golf.
Dr. Henry Phillip McCoy: It's really quite simple.bluepurrymuffin on August 15th, 2011 10:49 am (UTC)
As if I'd miss it!

[He let go of Peter's hands and held his out at his sides.]

It's been some time since I've visited one of these establishments, I only hope it isn't too small.

Oh man!

[He slaps a palm to forehead.]

I'm sorry, Hank, we really should have thought to check that, shouldn't we?
Dr. Henry Phillip McCoy: Take heart! Learning is beyond compare.bluepurrymuffin on August 15th, 2011 06:17 pm (UTC)
[Hank pats his shoulder.]

Really, it's fine. If I could tolerate those miniscule kitchens in the MAC for seven months, I'll certainly make do through a round of mini-golf!
