Now it's very nearly X-Mas and we've done the best we could
WHO: Doctor Zoidberg & YOU!
WHERE: The designated off-leash area of a local park
WHEN: Forward to Thursday 12/23 in the early evening
SUMMARY: Zoidberg is taking Bingo for a walk!  There is magical mistletoe all around.  Who wants a lobster cuddle?!  :3
FORMAT: I'mma start quick, you do what you like.

[Zoidberg has just arrived at the park with little Bingo, who is wearing a festive knit sweater and dog sized Santa hat. Zoidberg hadn't felt it before, mostly due to his crippling fear of Rowbutt Santa Claus coming to murder everyone, but he's really in an Eks-mas-y mood. He's even humming a jolly carol as he is led around by the small white bulldog. For some reason, he's just so darned happy, he could hug the nearest person! If only people weren't already fleeing the area in terror at the sight of him.]

Where are they going?  You think maybe there's a sale somewhere, maybe?

[Bingo does not answer. Instead she trots through the park with Zoidberg in tow.]

Hank was out for a stroll to get some fresh air. He'd been cooped up long enough, and after getting a good night's sleep and a long, hot bath, it was just what the doctor ordered. It fact, he prescribed it himself.

Passing under a tree, he saw a curious bit of mistletoe hanging from one of its branches.

"Now how did that get there, I wonder?

Meanwhile, the puppy and her lobster guardian were bounding through the park. Or rather, Bingo was bounding and Zoidberg was scuttling along behind her, trying to keep up.

"Wait! Friend Bingo! You're too swift for old Zoidberg!" He whoops softly, legs moving rapidly to keep up with the energetic pup. Luckily, she soon came to a stop, having found someone interesting to smell. Indeed, she'd happened upon a certain blue furry mutant and decided he needed investigating. She approached Hank boldly, with her master close behind. "Bingo! You should always ask permission first! That way he won't strike you for being rude."
Dr. Henry Phillip McCoy: I'm enjoying myself!bluepurrymuffin on December 23rd, 2010 09:27 am (UTC)
Not knowing entirely why, Hank suddenly went starry-eyed and scooped up the puppy, embracing it lovingly! :O cats and dogs, living together!

"Oh, you're an absolute sweetheart!" he said, when suddenly his eye caught Zoidberg.

Zoidberg couldn't help but feel his hearts swell too. Imagine, his little Bingo, so popular and making friends! It was enough to make him want to vomit from both his saltwater and freshwater stomachs. So cuuuuuuute!

"His name is Bingo! He's my loyal hound! What a good friend he is!" Zoidberg announced proudly. Oh yes, he'd done such a fine job raising his puppy, despite that fact that he didn't know its gender. "Bingo, say hello to the nice man!"
Dr. Henry Phillip McCoy: I've heard some fish stories in my day.bluepurrymuffin on December 23rd, 2010 10:20 am (UTC)
Hank took note of the error, but felt correcting it would be impolite. "Such a delightful canine," he said, as Bingo licked at his face. "Anyone who raised such a dog must be a fine person himself!" And with that, he moved in to include Zoidberg in the embrace.

Happily, Zoidberg joined in the hug, cooing hideously as he wrapped his arms around the big furry fellow. Hank was so soft and cuddly! He made the perfect hugging companion! "Oh! How nice! I've never been hugged before!"
Dr. Henry Phillip McCoy: Well this is pleasant.bluepurrymuffin on December 23rd, 2010 05:12 pm (UTC)
"You poor thing!" he exclaimed as the hug continued, Bingo squirming a little and Hank began softly petting Zoidberg's head.

He cooed. Or rather, he gargled. Either way, it was a happy noise, and he continued the happy cuddle, mouth frills stroking the fluffiness that was Hank. What a fun activity, this hugging. Perhaps he ought to test it out on Friend Hood...

"Hooray!" Zoidberg squealed delightly. "I'm making new friends! Now Zoidberg is the popular one!"
Dr. Henry Phillip McCoy: Most excellent! :3bluepurrymuffin on December 25th, 2010 07:03 am (UTC)
Hank pulled back and regarded Zoidberg fondly as he held him by the shoulders. Bingo had migrated his way back into Zoidberg's arms at this point. "As well you should! You seem to be a delightful fellow, Mr. Zoidberg, and I hope you have many hugs in your future!"

He gave a wave as he went n his way, smiling broadly. "I hope your holiday is a happy one!" Spirits brightened, Hank made his way back home with a renewed vigor and an idea of how to spend his Christmas. This encounter had been just what he needed.
